Public sector organisations can take bold action and shift to serving more sustainable food
22nd October 2021
The public sector serves an estimated one billion meals in schools every year. Reducing meat and dairy consumption will help reduce the greenhouse gas emissions’ footprint of our diets.
In this Eating Better film, we hear how Mandeville Primary School have gradually starting serving 'less and better' meat and more vegetables and pulses in their school meals, for no extra cost. It's a vision of where all public sector organisations could be, with the right support from government and local authorities to speed the transition to fair and sustainable supply chains.
