Advisory roles

FFCC provides expert advice to government and helps facilitate better conversations about food, farming and land between ministers, politicians and decision-makers.

Farming APPG

In 2025, FFCC was appointed as secretariat for All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Farming. The Farming APPG is a cross-party forum for MPs and peers to discuss issues around food, farming and rural affairs. Our aim is bring a wide range of perspectives on agriculture to Parliament and work to support a positive and prosperous future for Britain's farmer and rural communities. The group is chaired Terry Jermy MP and Rachel Gilmour MP.

We started by bringing the voices of young farmers to APPG members, with subsequent sessions focusing on profitability, nature and land use.
