FFCC has submitted a response to the EFRA Committee's inquiry into Environmental Land Management and the agricultural transition.
In it, we highlight the need for ELM schemes to:
- support good business - both financial and whole farm planning
- pay appropriately for activities for public benefits
- encourage innovation and peer learning
- back early and no regrets actions
- maintain support for early adopters of agri-environment schemes
if they are to be attractive to farmers.
