FFCC Chief Executive Sue Pritchard has been appointed to the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero's (DESNZ) Net Zero Council – co-chaired by DESNZ Secretary of State Ed Miliband and Shirine Khoury-Haq.
Sue joins other leaders across civil society, local authorities, business and government, including Kerry McCarthy MP, WWF's Tanya Steele CBE, Race Equality Foundation's Jabeer Butt, Climate Action Network's Catherine Pettengell, Nestle's Richard Watson and many more.
Sue said, “I’m delighted to have been invited to join the government’s Net Zero Council. This is a critical moment to bring governments, businesses, local authorities and civil society together to accelerate the transition to net zero across the economy. A core part of FFCC’s work is with citizens and communities, food and farming enterprises, who are already leading change on the ground. I look forward to reflecting what I hear from them about what's needed for a just transition to a fairer, more sustainable and more prosperous future for the UK.”
