In 2021-2022, our second year as an independent charity, the effects of the global pandemic were still being felt, whilst the war in Ukraine began to have a serious global impact on food and energy security. Extreme weather events and further loss of nature and wildlife also heralded the acceleration of the climate and nature crises.
Thanks to the generous, continuing support of Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, our core funders, and our other funding partners (see p11), our work towards a better future remained front and centre in this turbulent period. Some areas saw positive gains, other areas have moved forward rapidly - and we’re facing into the challenges that lie ahead.
The 2020-2021 Annual Report covers the period up to March 2021, setting out our progress and impact in our first year of operating as an independent charity.
