Programme Lead: Place-based Inquiries

By Jane Campbell

1st March 2021

FFCC is recruiting a Programme Lead for its place-based inquiries. This role will suit you if you want to support thriving communities, joining a national, networked organisation, focussed on helping to make change happen.

The Food, Farming and Countryside Commission works across the UK through a network of inquiries at a national and local scale. Our place-based inquiries comprise, so far, three inquiries in England – in Cumbria, Devon and East of England – and one each in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

Through these inquiries, our ideas and recommendations are turning into practical actions and real change. We are looking for an outstanding facilitator and action researcher to lead our place-based work.

This role will suit you if you have:

  • Experience of managing complex, intersectoral work programmes with the ability to work across mutliple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to establish effective working relationships with a diverse and authoritative group of stakeholders
  • Strong research experience and understanding of policy development
  • Expert knowledge of at least one of our core subject areas: food, farming, countryside and rural economy
  • A shared sense of purpose for our mission, with commitment to finding practical solutions to the climate, nature, health and economic crises
