Joint letter from Green Alliance, NFU, WWF, RSPCA, CiWF, Sustain, Trade Justice Movement, NFFN, CLA and Tenant Farmers Association and FFCC

30th September 2022

Farming, trade and environment leaders have published a letter urging Department for International Trade to introduce world-leading core standards in food, environment and animal welfare, to guide new trade deals that are a win-win for UK farmers and overseas producers.

The call, from a broad range of organisations and leaders including FFCC Chief Executive Sue Pritchard, has been covered in the Financial Times.

It highlights that responsible businesses want a level playing field for trade and a fair regulatory baseline that upholds the standards that the British public want and expect.
