In January, our CEO Sue Pritchard joined Riverford's Guy Singh Watson on BBC Radio 4's Farming Today to discuss the true cost of cheap food to the citizen and the farmer.
Sue highlighted findings from The Food Conversation that show people care deeply about food and expect high standards across welfare, environment, fairness and health.
"[People] feel very, very frustrated, particularly people from poorer communities who perceive that their poverty is being weaponised by governments and by businesses as an excuse to carry on producing cheap food that’s harmful to them and harmful to the environment"
