FFCC's Georgie Barber on why we need better land use decision-making

In a new blog for TABLE, FFCC's Land Use lead Georgie Barber makes the case for a Land Use Framework, arguing that the interconnected crises of climate, health, inequality and nature calls for an integrated, multifunctional approach to how we use land.

In particular, Georgie highlights that despite many brilliant people and organisations working to achieve change in these critical areas, progress has been hampered by the availability of land to deliver on targets. She also lays out what makes a framework effective at local and national levels of government.

"Land is a finite resource: the ambition of our targets is important, but ultimately futile if we do not have the means to achieve them."
