Our Chief Exec Sue Pritchard appears on The Food Foundation podcast to discuss their Broken Plate 2025 report.
10th February 2025
Our Chief Executive Sue Pritchard joins Anna Taylor, Malcolm Clark, Geoff Ogle, Dr Chris van Tulleken, Daniel Zeichner MP and Caroline Woolham on The Food Foundation podcast.
Responding to The Food Foundation’s latest ‘Broken Plate’ report, the panel offers their analysis of the findings, which showed that too many people in the UK are unable to afford healthy food – and that much of the food readily available and marketed to us is damaging our health and the planet.
Sue brings insights from The Food Conversation to the table, reflecting on what citizens want when it comes to food:
“[Citizens] want government to rebalance power. They don’t want industry to be excluded completely - of course they know industry has got to be involved in making all of this work - but they want government to take responsibility in the way that only government can to rebalance power and resources towards citizen interests, consumer interests, and not just what works well for industry and its profits.”
